I used SLIPIT on 23-year-old plate glass sliding doors in aluminum frames that are hard to slide. A week later, they still slide easily. I was using a strong-smelling, well-known competitor but would have to re-apply again after a couple of days. Also worked great on old, rusty garage hinges.

I took the compound to work and used it on a few cars and liked it better than another leading lubricant, which wears off very quickly and creates recurring problems.. A great product to have in the garage.

I lubricated all the tracks and latches on windows I was installing. It improved the operation on brand-new brand-name windows. One application does the job, with not much residue after application. I am looking for a supplier in my area. I need to keep this on hand.

I have a window company and we service all types of windows. Some homeowners don't like the smell of some of the lubricants we used to use, and don't want harsh chemicals on their windows. SLIPIT has very little odor and is a great "green" alternative.

This lubricant works very well where there are surfaces of different composition, for example, metal against plastic or aluminum against steel. It's terrific on storm windows tracks and awning window hardware.
